Miami Dolphins 2020 mock draft: Full 7 rounds
By Conor Dorney
Cornerback Byron Jones was the crown jewel of the Dolphins’ free-agent haul but that won’t stop them from adding more depth to the secondary via the draft.
In the third round, they land Auburn cornerback Javaris Davis who figures to slot in as a CB3 immediately behind Jones and Xavien Howard.
Don’t let Davis’ size fool you (5-foot-8, 183 pounds) because he plays bigger than that, with lots of experiencing both inside and outside. He has outstanding recovery speed (4.39 40-yard dash) and offered incredibly consistent ball production, with two interceptions in the last four years for the Tigers.
I think Davis’ speed and ball skills will make him a great third-round value and is a seemingly perfect fit for Brian Flores‘ defensive scheme.
