3. T Isaiah Wynn

Back in 2018, Bill Belichick used the 23rd overall pick the draft to select University of Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn. Unfortunately, he was a no-go that year as a torn Achilles tendon during the preseason shelved him for all of his rookie campaign. And there was more bad news in 2019 as the 6-foot-2, 310-pound performer suffered a toe injury during the team’s Week 2 win at Miami this past season.

He would return to start the final six games and the playoffs. All told, via Pro Football Focus (subscription required), he logged 502 snaps during the regular season and earned much better grades as a pass protector (75.0) than a run blocker (61.7).

Despite a two-year resume that includes just nine total appearances, a person who knows a little something about offensive line play is high on the former Bulldog.

“I really like Isaiah,” said Dante Scarnecchia last November (via Darren Hartwell of NBC Sports Boston). “We all like the person and we like the player. We’ve just got to keep him out there…He’s a good technician. Matt Light wasn’t the tallest, longest guy in the league also. Good football players play, man. They figure out ways. This guy knows how to play. That’s why we drafted him.”

It appears to simply a matter of Wynn staying on the field.
