817. . LB. Tigers . Patrick Queen. 33. player

Keeping consistent with my last Bengals mock, Cincinnati returns to the Bayou with Joe Burrow’s teammate, linebacker Patrick Queen.

The majority of the Bengals’ spending spree this offseason addressed the defensive line and secondary, so it makes sense that they look to upgrade the second level of the defense at some point early on in the draft.

While a bit undersized for a linebacker, Queen is a heady, do-it-all defender with outstanding athleticism and sideline-to-sideline speed. Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo would find plenty of ways to deploy Queen in his scheme, whether it be disrupting running lanes or dropping into coverage.

I could see Cincy looking to trade down from this spot to gain more draft capital but I love the fit of Queen here at the top of the second round. This pick would give Joe Burrow a familiar face in the building and give the Bengals a valuable leader in the middle of their up and coming defense.
