9. Notre Dame

When you travel to South Bend, Indiana to watch the Fighting Irish battle it out on the gridiron, the play on the field isn’t going to be the only thing that catches your eye. It’s the scenery surrounding the stadium that really makes this stadium great, from Touchdown Jesus to the Golden Dome, there are plenty of things about the atmosphere that helps it make this list.

More important than all of that stuff though, is the atmosphere during the game. Notre Dame stadium comes in at No. 16 in all of college football with a capacity of 80,795 people. The stadium has seen plenty of big wins over the program’s rich history that totals 13 national championships. The history of the program is still felt by its massive fan base that helps give their team one of the best home-field advantages in college football.

But it isn’t just the history of Notre Dame football that makes it great either. The team has seen great success with Brian Kelly taking over the program. Including an impressive 18-game home win streak that spans back to their 2017 loss to Georgia. That win streak is second in the country only to Clemson’s 22-game home win streak. To add to all of that, the Irish are 19-1 over the last three years at home and 51-13 over the past decade.

The Notre Dame faithful deserves at least a little bit of credit for all of this success, as the atmosphere created from pregame to when the Fighting Irish walk out of the tunnel is one of the best in college football.
