1. Lamar Jackson will rush for less than 750 yards

The Ravens have a lot of offensive weapons but everything they do begins with Jackson’s ability to stress the defense with his legs. That’s why opposing defenses are going to build their game plans around stopping Jackson from running the football in 2020.

To put it more plainly, Jackson isn’t going to run the football 176 times this season. The Ravens may try to run him frequently early in the season, but opposing schemes are going to force them into throwing the ball more often.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that Jackson won’t find a way to be successful. He’s got the arm talent to make big plays down the field. He won’t ever lead the NFL in completion percentage, but he’s got a chance to put up big yards.

Add it all up and Jackson’s rushing total will decrease dramatically. He’ll still make the occasional highlight reel with a long and meandering run down the field, but he’s going to lose a lot of the 8-12 yard runs that padded his stats last season.

There’s also a strong chance the Ravens are going to try to protect Jackson a little more in 2020. Add it all up and he’s going to rack up less rushing yards. Look for him to dip below 750 yards on the ground.
