Baltimore Ravens 2020 mock draft: Full 7 rounds
By Conor Dorney
It’s tough to imagine a linebacker not being one of Baltimore’s first few selections and instead of taking one in the first round, they opt for former Ohio State standout Malik Harrison in round two.
Harrison has an outstanding combination of size and athleticism and is capable of playing both inside and outside at the pro level. He broke out in his senior season for the Buckeyes, logging 75 tackles and 16.5 tackles for loss.
The additions to the Ravens’ defensive line opens up the need for a linebacker capable of playing fast and downhill to fill running lanes, which is why Harrison is a great fit at this spot.
Marshal Yanda’s retirement leaves a big hole on the Ravens’ offensive line that figures to be addressed by round three at the latest. One name with a lot of buzz in the pre-draft process is Temple’s Matt Hennessey.
Hennessey lined up at center for the Owls and has excellent technique and tenacity despite being a bit undersized. Temple has become a factory for tough, smart and reliable players, which describes Hennessey and his game perfectly.
With Matt Skura under contract for one more season, the Ravens could use Hennessey at guard to replace Yanda for the time being and move him back to center if Skura departs next year in free agency.
