4. Marlon Mack will rush for over 1,250 yards

The Colts want to build a more dynamic passing attack, but that doesn’t mean they will get away from their bread and butter. Running behind their talented offensive line is still going to be what the Indianapolis offense does best.

Marlon Mack is the running back who benefits most from that philosophy. He was a true workhorse last season by eating up 247 carries for 1,041 yards in just 14 regular season games. His workload might decrease slightly in 2020 on a per game basis, but his efficiency should take a nice step forward.

That means his yards per carry average should increase from last year’s mark of 4.4 to somewhere closer to five yards per rush. That will allow him to go over the 1,250-yard mark as long as he can stay around the 250-carry mark.

To make that happen, Mack will need to bust off a few more big plays than he produced in 2019. He’s never going to be a home run hitter in the backfield, but he’s got deceptive speed. Mack will grow into a more dynamic weapon for this offense in 2020.
