Justin Herbert. 19. player. 28. Pick Analysis. QB. Oregon. Scouting Report

Justin Herbert is hoping he doesn’t fall this far in the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s projected to be a top-10 pick by many, but there are also skeptics who think he could have a minor slide into the middle or back-half of the first round.

Herbert is a good prospect but he’s not in the same rarefied air as Burrow, Lawrence, Tua or Fields. The Raiders using their second first-round pick on the former Oregon Ducks quarterback is good value. Head coach Jon Gruden doesn’t seem enamored with Derek Carr who has reportedly been on the trading block for two years. If general manager Mike Mayock and Gruden go this route, it gives Carr legitimate competition to push him and if they are able to find a taker for Carr, they could get a package of picks back in return to then help Herbert in future years.

Javon Kinlaw. 20. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT. South Carolina. 52. player

After taking Simmons with the No. 9 pick, the Jaguars continue to load up on defense with the selection of former South Carolina Gamecocks defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw. In the real 2020 NFL Draft, Kinlaw could be taken inside the top 10 picks because of his strength and the havoc he can cause in the interior of the trenches.

The Jaguars could go with a receiver to give Gardner Minshew another target opposite D.J. Chark or any other number of directions but getting Kinlaw helps ensure the Jaguars will have two young cornerstones to build around on the defense.
