30 retired NHL jerseys that need to be brought back into the light of day

Detroit Red Wings: 2009 Winter Classic jersey
You can’t complain about the current state of the Red Wings’ sweaters, which have pretty much stayed the same. It’d be great to see the team return to their 2009 Winter Classic — and 2016 Stadium Series — look as an alternate, especially because the primary lettering is so crisp.
Edmonton Oilers: 2015-17 jersey
The fact that the Oilers no longer have their classic blue jersey after transitioning to an orange home sweater is a travesty. Edmonton replaced it with a facsimile navy alternate with no white trim, which is extremely hard on the eyes. It was a fine experiment, but bring back these classics.
Florida Panthers: 1998-07 jersey
The Panthers current modern crest is a much better logo for the team, but the leaping panther has not been seen since 2016. It would be nice for Florida to throw back to that era, with their early jerseys a prime sweater to target.
Los Angeles Kings: 1998-07 jersey
The yellows and purples of the Kings original jerseys are worthy of praise, but the shield logo from the late 1990s to mid-2000s is often forgotten. Los Angeles currently has a drab gray alternate jersey, but this throwback would no doubt spice up their lineup with a hint of purple.
Minnesota Wild: 2009-17 alternate jersey
I’m such a huge fan of script writing jerseys that college programs often use. The Wild’s previous alternates featured great logo detailing and a crisp two-toned palate that the team should bring back as the full-time alternate once more.
