30 retired NHL jerseys that need to be brought back into the light of day

Ottawa Senators: 1992-07 jersey
The logo for the Senators of old was a much better logo than the 3D centurion the team currently wears. Returning to this style completely or even adding it as an alternate sweater for certain occasions would be a great step forward for a franchise that has a very bland set of jerseys.
Philadelphia Flyers: 1997-07 jersey
Black had been phased out of the Flyers jersey rotation until the team added their Stadium Series jersey to the mix in 2018. However, Philadelphia owns a better set of classic black sweaters that would fit their collection better, as their primary sweaters for almost 20 years are more pleasing to the eye.
Pittsburgh Penguins: 1995-02 jersey
The Penguins’ “robot-pigeon” jersey is a mid-1990s classic with, honestly, a much better logo than their current getup. The team even went back to their classic yellow color, so reintroducing these sweaters back into the mix would be an easy task.
St. Louis Blues: 1995-98 jersey
St. Louis threw back to these classic jerseys during the 2019-20 season to great success. It’d be lovely to see the team use these more often — and maybe full-time as the team’s alternates instead of their 2017 Winter Classic light blues.
San Jose Sharks: 1997-07 jersey
What started out as an alternate in 1997 became the Sharks’ full-time jersey for nearly 10 years. San Jose has not returned to this style since it was retired in 2007 — and have kept a very consistent style since — but could benefit from adding a more non-traditional sweater to their lineup.
