2nd round

888. . CB. Cavaliers . Bryce Hall. 46. player

Chris Harris Jr. is off to join division rival Los Angeles, so cornerback becomes one of Denver’s most pressing needs heading into the 2020 NFL Draft.

Even after trading for former Jaguar A.J. Bouye, work is still left to be done in the secondary for a team that has to face Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense twice every season.

Virginia’s Bryce Hall was one of college football’s most defensive backs over the past four seasons, logging only five career interceptions but an incredible 38 pass defenses. At 6-foot-1, 202 pounds, Hall has ideal size and athleticism to excel in Vic Fangio’s defense.

An injury in Hall’s senior season may affect his draft stock somewhat but he’s a great value in the middle of what is likely to be a run on cornerbacks near the top of round two.
