Denver Broncos 2020 mock draft: Full 7 rounds
By Conor Dorney
5th round
The defense-heavy draft continues for Denver with former Stanford standout Casey Toohill. Toohill’s frame and excellent athleticism should give him the opportunity to be utilized in a number of different ways in Fangio’s defensive scheme.
6th round
Denver heads to Knoxville with another former protege of wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni. Jennings (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) is a big target who plays faster than his poor testing at the Combine.
While coaching with the Volunteers, Azzanni once said that Jennings would occasionally enter team meetings “barking like a dog,” which is as good of a reason to draft him as any if you ask me.
7th round
The pride of Wagner College (I’m assuming), linebacker Cam Gill, lands with Denver with the first of their seventh-round selections.
Gill is an athletic outside linebacker who seems best suited to operate in coverage rather than rushing the passer. He should provide a good contribution on special teams early on in his NFL career.
The Broncos add Ole Miss defensive tackle Benito Jones, an undersized but quick-twitch interior pass rusher, to wrap up the team’s 2020 draft class.
