New York Jets. 30. Scouting Report. MetLife Stadium. Away. 1. player. Pick Analysis

Quite frankly, the Bills need to do better than 3-3 in the AFC East if they want to win the division next year. If there is a team Buffalo could technically sweep next fall, it would have to be the New York Jets. Winning on the road in Miami is always a challenge, and let’s not get ahead of ourselves to think the Bills are ready just yet to win in Foxborough. But East Rutherford, it’s time to get it.

As stated before, if the Bills get to 10-6 with a 4-2 divisional record, they should win the AFC East for the first time since the late 1990s. Splitting with the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots seems fair, but this means the Bills have to sweep Gang Green. Buffalo could do better than .500 in their games away from home, but their annual game at MetLife has to be a win.

This could be a potential primetime affair, whether that’s on Thursday night between divisional rivals, on Sunday Night Football because the Bills were good last year and New York is a massive media market or on Monday Night Football because ESPN tends to air these sort of games in their yearly package. Either way, the stakes will be high in this game and Buffalo has to win at all costs.

The easiest way for the Bills to win the AFC East is to sweep an inferior opponent. Though they could sweep the Dolphins, Miami is an improving team and the road environment could prove troublesome for the Bills, whether this game comes in early September or late December. But with a similar Northeast climate, the Bills have no choice but to beat the Jets at MetLife this year.
