Home: New York Jets

Hiding within the Dolphins own division is another young team hoping to make the proverbial leap now that Tom Brady has left the AFC East. Adam Gase has taken his licks as head coach of the New  York Jets, but most casual fans would likely be surprised to hear just how hot the Jets became near season’s end in 2019.

While the Dolphins won five of their last nine games, the Jets were even hotter and won six of their last eight—including consecutive wins over the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills in the final two weeks. That’s impressive considering what those franchises were fighting for at the time.

The Jets and Dolphins split their season series but the Fins outscored them 47-40 and have good reason to believe they can beat them again.

At the very least, Flores needs to come away with one win out of two against their rival and that means putting them away at Hard Rock Stadium. Given how much more impressive the Dolphins look after some offseason changes to date compared to the Jets, Miami has a very good chance to come away with a split and then some.
