4th round

818. . CB. Huskies . Myles Bryant. 127. player

The Eagles showed how serious they are about upgrading their secondary by shipping draft capital to Detroit for Darius Slay and proceeding to ink him to a three-year, $50 million extension.

With Slay manning the outside, Philadelphia adds a slot/nickel cornerback in round four with Washington’s Myles Bryant. Bryant doesn’t back down from physicality despite being undersized and is an extremely instinctual player on tape.

New Philadelphia assistant coach Aaaron Moorehead scoops up one of his former players, wide receiver Kalija Lipscomb, in round four.

Lipscomb is a smooth operator who seems to always get the job done despite not being an overly-explosive athlete. Moorehead’s familiarity with the former Commodore could lend to a good pairing as Philly continues to provide Carson Wentz with new offensive toys.

Texas A&M’s Quartney Davis is another name to watch at this spot.

You didn’t think the Eagles were done in the secondary, did you?

Mississippi State’s Cameron Dantzler has the ideal height (6-foot-2) for an outside cornerback, unlike fellow fourth-rounder Myles Bryant. Dantzler won his share of matchups with top-flight SEC talent, but his slight frame and underwhelming tackling ability could push him further down draft boards than some might expect.
