Safety. Philadelphia Eagles. Xavier McKinney. 21. player. 54.

The Philadelphia Eagles have their needs at wide receiver heading into the draft, and in a loaded wide receiver draft class, they could certainly pull the trigger on one next week. However, this is such a deep draft that they could be able to get a standout player on day 2 at the position, and in this mock, they address the defense at pick No. 21.

Xavier McKinney is by far the best pure safety in this draft class, and he fills an immediate void in the Eagles defensive backfield. The Eagles have the talent on defense to be very competitive in 2020, but they need to continue to stockpile talent on the back end of their defense if they want to get out of the Wild Card round.

The Eagles have already brought in Darius Slay this offseason, and adding McKinney makes their secondary that much better. This is a team that won their division last season, and heading into the 2020 campaign, they may have the most complete roster of any of the teams they beat out in 2019.

player. 60. . Wide Receiver. Minnesota Vikings. Tee Higgins. 22

The Minnesota Vikings traded away star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills, and in turn, they got the No. 22 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft among other assets. Now holding two picks in a four-pick span, the Vikings are in prime position to improve a roster that made it to the Divisional Round last season.

Kirk Cousins has already been locked up to an extension, and with the No. 22 pick, they bring in a solid wide receiver who can fill in where Diggs left. Tee Higgins was an absolute star during his time at Clemson, becoming one of the more reliable wideouts in college football, and he slides into a position group that still has Adam Thielen.

The Vikings need to revamp their defense as well, and they will look to do so later in round one. This is a team that should be right back in the mix of the playoff race next season, and in Higgins, they get a guy who has played in a ton of big games, and has a championship pedigree.
