2nd round

As it stands right now, the Packers are heading into next season with 36-year-old Marcades Lewis as the team’s starting tight end. This isn’t a great class to need help at tight end, but one name that could interest Green Bay is Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet.

Kmet started his collegiate career as a two-sport athlete (baseball and football) before switching full-time to the gridiron. There’s a ton of projection to his game but lots to work with in terms of his athletic profile.

Kmet’s size (6-foot-6, 262 pounds) and athleticism should make him a valuable contributor in the Packers’ passing attack, especially in the red zone. He still needs further development as an in-line blocker, but his size and length certainly make it possible for him to be successful in that area in the future.

Purdue’s Brycen Hopkins could be another target at this spot, but ultimately, the Packers opt for Kmet.
