3. DT Taven Bryan

This offseason, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive line has made its share of headlines. Veteran Calais Campbell was traded to the Baltimore Ravens for a fifth-round draft choice this year. The one-time member of the Arizona Cardinals made a huge impact in his three seasons with this franchise after signing as a free agent in 2017. He played and started in all 48 regular-season games, along with three postseason contests in 2017. There were a combined 31.5 sacks, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries (two returned for touchdowns) and three invitations to the Pro Bowl.

Meanwhile, the Jaguars slapped the franchise tag on defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, one of the league’s premier pass rushers. The standout sack artist has been the subject of trade rumors for weeks. Will he be moved before the draft? On the other side is 2019 first-round pick Josh Allen, who actually led Jacksonville with 10.5 QB traps and was named to the Pro Bowl.

Speaking of first-round picks, Taven Bryan was the 29th overall selection in 2018 and hasn’t put up spectacular numbers in two seasons. But he began to make strides this past year, making eight starts (one in 2018) while totaling 33 tackles and a pair of sacks. That progress figures to continue this fall.
