3. LB Jayon Brown

This past year, cornerback Logan Ryan is coming off quite the regular-season performance and three-game playoff stretch for the Tennessee Titans. He led the club with 113 tackles, 18 passes defensed and four forced fumbles and also came up with 4.5 sacks and four interceptions. The one-time member of the Patriots added a combined 25 tackles in Tennessee’s postseason tilts with New England, Baltimore and Kansas City.

In three NFL seasons, former UCLA linebacker Jayon Brown has made steady strides each year. In 2019, he made a career-best 14 starts and finished third behind Ryan and fellow inside linebacker Rashaan Evans (111) with 104 defensive stops. There was a sack, interceptions and fumble recovery. The 2017 fifth-round pick was third on the Titans with eight passes defensed and that is the strongest part of the former Bruins’ game. Via Pro Football Focus (subscription required), Brown earned a solid 71.6 overall grade – with higher marks in pass coverage (73.0) than run defense (66.0).

It’s also interesting to note that while he earned a subpar grade when it came to rushing the passer, his second season in the league in ’18 saw him total a half-dozen sacks. He’s an intriguing player who appears to be on the verge of a big year.
