9. Eric Fisher

Eric Fisher hasn’t lived up to his No. 1 overall draft position, but if you don’t think Fisher is a good player, you’re a fool.

While Chiefs fans were surely hoping for a Joe Thomas-style Hall of Fame career from Fisher, it was clear early on the former Central Michigan standout wasn’t on that track. Still, Fisher has been a staple at left tackle for the Chiefs since his rookie year. He’s qualified for one Pro Bowl and provided steady, if not unspectacular protection for Alex Smith and Patrick Mahomes.

Fisher can occasionally be overmatched, as he was in the Super Bowl facing Nick Bosa but one needs only to go back and watch the film from last season when Fisher was out with an injury to see his value to the Chiefs’ offensive line.

Patrick Mahomes was only sacked 23 times last year and while some of that is certainly due to his mobility, Fisher plays a big part in keeping Mahomes upright.
