3. DE Zach Allen

Defensive end Zach Allen had a great start tp 2019 before an injury derailed his rookie season. The 2019 third round selection started the first four games of the year for the Cardinals before suffering a neck injury. He wasn’t able to grab a quarterback sack in that time frame, but he did have eight tackles.

In year two, Allen will aim to stay healthy and become a productive pass rusher like he was at Boston College. In 25 games as a junior and senior for the Eagles he had 161 tackles. 30.5 of which went for a loss, while also tallying 10.5 sacks.

While Allen doesn’t always bring the QB down, he routinely creates pressure and disrupts the flow of plays. With Chandler Jones as the main pass rusher, Allen should see plenty of one-on-one opportunities in 2020. The Cardinals may even draft another edge player next week to create an extremely fearsome pass rush group. Allen will be right in the middle of the season’s plans no matter what.

If the Cardinals are going to have a winning record, Allen is the type of difference maker to help them get there.
