Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2020 mock draft: Full 7 rounds
By Conor Dorney
2nd round
The Bucs double dip on the offensive line to start round two with another talented SEC prospect, LSU’s Lloyd Cushenberry III.
Cushenberry was lauded for his leadership abilities at LSU and the toughness he displays on the interior makes him someone Bruce Arians certainly has his eyes on. While he played center in college, he could make the move to guard where his excellent length can help him excel in pass protection.
Ryan Jensen will hit free agency in two years, so the selection of Cushenberry could give them the option of eventually slotting in as his replacement after starting the first two years at guard.
I think that the signing of Brady steers the Bucs away from some of the developmental prospects (Ben Bartch, Robert Hunt) in this class and more towards proven, valuable guys who have competed at the highest level. Putting Cushenberry III and Wills on the right side would give Tampa a drastically-better offensive line right away.
Cushenberry’s teammate, Damien Lewis, is another name to watch at this spot or in round three.
