5th round

Familiarity may continue to be a theme in this draft for Carolina as its new coaching staff puts its foundational players in place. Penn State’s Cam Brown has unique size and length at linebacker but could see more of a dynamic, rotational pass rusher role in the NFL.

885. . CB. Owls . Harrison Hand. 152. player

Secondary is a big need for Carolina and could be addressed in rounds one or two. If not, Temple’s Harrison Hand is a name to watch on Day 3. Hand had three interceptions for the Owls last season after beginning his college career with Rhule at Baylor.

6th round

More secondary help with Penn State cornerback John Reid in round six. Reid is a versatile defender who is likely best suited for a role in nickel packages. He enters the draft having provided four years of consistent production in college for the Nittany Lions, totaling seven career interceptions.

7th round

Baylor’s Bravion Roy enjoyed a stellar senior season in 2019, logging 13.0 tackles and 5.5 sacks, both career highs. He’s a huge body in the middle that will help to clog up running lanes for Matt Rhule’s defense.
