3. At Los Angeles Chargers

This is the second road game to make our list, but the Jaguars’ trip to Los Angeles should certainly be a winnable game. The Jaguars and Chargers met in Jacksonville last December, with Los Angeles winning in a 45-10 rout.

Things have changed dramatically for the Chargers since then, with Philip Rivers and Melvin Gordon leaving in free agency. Rivers is off to Indianapolis while Gordon signed in Denver, creating a new offensive hierarchy for the Chargers.

Los Angeles’ running back situation should be fine with Austin Ekeler, but the quarterback position is an open question. If the season were to begin today, Tyrod Taylor would be under center, but the Chargers could still draft a quarterback or bring in a free agent like Cam Newton or Jameis Winston.

The fact this game is on the road shouldn’t bother the Jaguars since the Chargers have yet to establish real fan support in Los Angeles. The Chargers are slated to begin playing at SoFi Stadium this season, and it isn’t clear yet if more of their fans will show up for games.

That atmosphere could lead to more of a neutral-site feel, which could make it easier for the Jaguars to win out in Los Angeles. Getting a big road win in Los Angeles would do wonders for Marrone’s job prospects.
