All you have to do to figure out how volatile running back depth is in the NFL is look at Seahawks’ injury report in the last few weeks of the 2019 season.
Marshawn Lynch had to go from Couch Mode to Beast Mode in Seattle’s most critical games down the stretch, further cementing the idea that the team will come away with a running back by the end of this draft.
Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor and Florida State’s Cam Akers will be names to watch early but expect Miami’s DeeJay Dallas to be Seattle’s guy on Day 3.
Dallas initially came to Miami as a wide receiver and his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and force missed tackles could spell the end of CJ Prosise’s time with the ‘Hawks.
Back in 2018, Dallas independently sought the help of a sports psychologist to address his fumbling problems. That type of accountability will certainly earn him major points on a Seahawks coaching staff that continually preaches reliability.
