Away: Houston Texans

The Texans have endured a wacky offseason so far with several months to go, and the team that takes the field in 2020 will be less talented than the 2019 version. That said, the Texans still made it to the divisional round last season and any team with Deshaun Watson is going to be at tough out.

The Texans and Titans split their season series in 2019—interestingly enough, they both lost at home—and their ongoing familiarity with the other should keep things difficult for either team to feel comfortable at any time. The Titans secondary will miss Logan Ryan but given that Houston traded DeAndre Hopkins this offseason, they won’t have to worry about containing such an elite target.

The Texans are banking on a big comeback from David Johnson in 2020 and while that might seem a tall order, Johnson has proved sensational as a two-way back in the past. If he can get rolling, Titans linebackers will find these matchups very tough. Fortunately they have one of the better coverage linebackers in football in Jayon Brown.
