Home: Pittsburgh Steelers

With the return of Ben Roethlisberger, the Pittsburgh Steelers are betting on their ability to return to the list of contenders in the AFC. That’s bad news for teams on the fringe of making the postseason—exactly the sort of place that Tennessee was last year at the end of the regular season.

If the Titans want to control their own fate and not have to depend on a weaker conference again in 2020, they’ve gotta command the AFC South and/or take care of other hopefuls in the conference who could hurt their position in the playoff picture.

The Steelers will be thrilled to upgrade from the likes of Devlin Hodges in 2020, but it will also be interesting to see just how much Big Ben, who just turned 38, has left in the tank coming off of a season in which he only played two games.

Fortunately for the Steelers, their young defense looked tremendous last year and a full season of Minkah Fitzpatrick will only enhance their chances to return to the postseason. If the Titans can win this game, they’d have to feel great about their chances to do some damage next January.
