Home: Minnesota Vikings

The Titans play the entire NFC North next season so any of those teams could be listed here since they’re all likely to be competitive. However the Minnesota Vikings have been very competitive as a well-rounded team with a dynamic back in Dalvin Cook.

Cook in particular will present a problem for Rashaan Evans and company, but even without Stefon Diggs, the Vikings  can still go deep with Adam Thielen. That said, the secondary in Minnesota took some heavy hits this offseason with the departures of Xavier Rhodes and Mackensie Alexander. The team also waved goodbye to Everson Griffin. That might make it easier for the Titans to put up yards against a typically very stingy defense in 2020.

The Titans should be able to handle the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions, but the looming contests with the Green Bay Packers and the Vikings will prove tougher than others. Last year, the Titans were on the edge of the postseason due in part to losses to teams like the Carolina Panthers. Those non-conference opponents can ruin a season, so the Titans would do well to prepare extra for these rarely seen opponents in order to declare a victory and keep pace with others.
