4. A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson

In any other year, AJ Terrell is a sure-fire first round pick. And, he may ultimately go there anyway. But, the evaluation is all over the place and proves that evaluators are seriously undervaluing the former Clemson Tiger. In fact, some even have him ranked as the 8th best corner on their draft board.

Terrell has great size at 6-foot-1 and is fast (4.42, 40-yard dash). He is very good at press coverage and uses long arms to disrupt passing lanes. He has above average quickness, closing ability, and footwork which all combine to make him a devastating defender with through-the-roof potential at the next level.

Terrell gets pushed down boards for many of the same reasons as Queen but also the presence of Jeff Okudah at the top of the corner class. Another hampering for Terrell is that he was never the best player on the Clemson defense…playing with Isaiah Simmons will do that to the best of them.

Some team is going to take Terrell, and depending on who you read that could be anywhere from the 18th through the 60th pick, and no matter which slot position he goes in, he’ll be a great deal for the team who takes him.
