5. CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys

Let’s get this one out of the way. CeeDee Lamb may look like the third option on the Dallas Cowboys right now, but by the time the season starts, he could be putting up WR1 like numbers quite quickly. He was the receiver most believed should go first, and he goes to an offense that cannot waste time focusing on him with Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup on the roster.

In a normal year, Lamb would have been taken in the top ten. This obviously wasn’t a normal draft, and with a deep roster of receivers, many of them fell further than they would in most years. However, it worked out well for Lamb especially.

Lamb could be one of the best receivers in the league eventually, but at least this year he could be really good. He has this ability to grab the ball, then jump another gear. That means a lot in the game today. With more and more offenses going over the middle, it’s important to be able to put on the afterburners. It might be as big a skill as straight-line speed.

Lamb might be the best prospect to draft once we get to fantasy football. The fact that he’s on an offense like the Cowboys where he could get ample opportunities with the ball, makes him the most desirable fantasy option right off the bat.
