4th Round

114. player. 32. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DT. Utah. Leki Fotu

Leki Fotu comes from a freakishly athletic family and will bring a ton of athletic skills to Arizona. He will be in the rotation early and often for the Cardinals as a two-gapping, odd-front nose. Fotu’s massive size and athleticism, as a former rugby player, jump off the tape, and this is a great selection on a rebuilding team.

5th Round

Pick Analysis. Rashard Lawrence. 32. LSU. 131. player. Scouting Report. DT

With Leki Fotu taken before him, Rashard Lawrence will be in an all out battle for playing time. The pick seems a little unnecessary given the depth with Fotu in the mix, but perhaps that competition is what coach Kliff Kingsbury wants to create heading into what may be a shortened training camp.

6th Round

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. LB. player. 32. California. Evan Weaver. 202

The Arizona Cardinals continued their trend of drafting defensive talent with Cal’s Evan Weaver. He is a sure tackler and plays with intensity on every snap. He lacks the typical size and makeup of an NFL linebacker, but his effort will help him to continue making plays. Weaver could be a great career special teams player.

7th Round

RB. Eno Benjamin. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 32. Arizona State. 222

Having played right down the road in Tempe, the Arizona Cardinals are surely very familiar with Eno Benjamin.

He will join a backfield headlined by Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds where he has a chance to break camp as the No. 3 back on the roster. Benjamin’s main competition will be fellow Sun Devils alum D.J. Foster, who has been mostly a special teams player througout his career.

Last season, Benjamin was a force in the running and passing game as a first-team All-Pac-12 selection with 253 carries for 1,083 yards and 10 touchdowns. Those running numbers went along with 42 receptions, 347 yards, and two touchdowns in 12 starts in the passing game.
