Best draft pick: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

This was the absolute best-case scenario for the first round. Picking at No. 17 was seemingly too low to get one of the top receivers, and arguably the No. 1 receiver. This wasn’t the biggest need, but it was the best player, and that’s always the best way to go. Edge rusher was a need but taking K’Lavon Chiasson, for example, wouldn’t have been the same type of home run that this is for the Cowboys.

Worst draft pick: Reggie Robinson, CB, Tulsa

I’m not going to bash the Cowboys for taking Robinson. Taking a cornerback is never a bad idea, but I don’t know if it was the best pick for Dallas in this spot with other players at other positions who could have had an impact. I’m also a little skeptical about taking players from smaller schools in some situations, but it’s not like this is a terrible pick. The Cowboys made so many great picks this year it was almost tough to find a truly bad pick so this could be nit-picking.
