Denver Broncos 2020 NFL Draft grades: Jerry Jeudy leads class
The Denver Broncos landed Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy in the first round, but how did their 2020 NFL Draft grade shake out?
The Broncos needed to find a compliment to Courtland Sutton after trading Emmanuel Sanders a year ago. General manager John Elway came up big, landing former Alabama Crimson Tide star Jerry Jeudy at 15th-overall.
In one of the best receiver classes we’ve seen in decades, the Broncos took Jeudy as the second off the board. While he’s not the elite burner former teammate — and now Las Vegas Raiders rookie — Henry Ruggs is, Jeudy is the more polished player. He’s a phenomenal route-runner who has shown elusiveness in the open field.
With the Crimson Tide, Jeudy notched 1,315 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2018, averaging almost 20 yards per reception. Last year, the youngster went for 1,163 yards and 10 scores, despite playing on a loaded Alabama team.
