Denver Broncos 2020 NFL Draft grades: Jerry Jeudy leads class
The Broncos might be looking to go with more two-tight end sets this season. Elway added yet another offensive playmaker with his fourth-round choice, tabbing Albert Okwuegbunam. The former Missouri tight end has all the physical attributes to become an intriguing NFL player, but has yet to produce at a consistent level.
With Mizzou, Okwuegbunam caught 26 passes for 306 yards and six touchdowns in 2019 over nine games.
5th Round
Strnad was a three-year starter for the Demon Deacons on the second level of their defense, and flashed enough to go mid-Day 3. At 6-foot-3 and 238 pounds, Strnad is a smaller linebacker who could have trouble dealing with runs between the tackles. However, he should provide immediate special teams help while contributing on a rotational basis to Vic Fangio’s defense.
6th Round
Another interior offensive lineman here. Muti comes to Denver as a mountain at 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds. The main concern here is physical maladies, as he was only able to suit up for five games over the past two years, dealing with a torn Achilles tendon and a Lisfranc injury. If he can stay healthy, the Broncos might have a steal, but that’s obviously a huge if.
7th Round
Cleveland is the third receiver and fourth pass-catcher taken by the Broncos. With the Gators, Cthe youngster amassed 25 catches and 351 receiving yards as a reserve.
At 6-foot-4 and 251 pounds, Tuszka is undersized to play on the line. However, his combine numbers suggest good enough athleticism to stand up and be productive in Vic Fangio’s defense.
