Best Pick: Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

Sometimes, the best pick is the first one. Not only is Jeudy the most talented player Denver took, but he’s the most polished. The Broncos are hoping to make big strides next season in the AFC after going 7-9, and Jeudy gives them a wonderful compliment to Courtland Sutton.

Far too often, teams try to get cute in the draft and end up beating themselves. Most people believed Jeudy or CeeDee Lamb was the best available player when the Broncos came on the clock at No. 15, and Elway didn’t mess around.

Worst Pick: Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri

The measurables are intriguing, but the production isn’t. Missouri waited three long years for Okwuegbunam to turn into an elite talent at tight end, and it never happened. The 6-foot-5 pass-catcher hauled in 98 receptions for 1,187 yards and 23 touchdowns over his time with the Tigers, including 11 scores as a freshman.

Considering how many weapons Denver now has, this pick would have better suited either for the offensive line or the linebacking corps.
