4th Round

Charlie Heck. Scouting Report. OL. North Carolina. 126. player. 838. Pick Analysis

The Texans made a solid pick here in the fourth round with the addition of Charlie Heck. Heck is a multi-year starter at both tackle positions, which means he should immediately be able to land the role of swing tackle behind Laremy Tunsil and Tytus Howard, last year’s first-round pick.

It doesn’t hurt that he’s the son of Andy Heck, a former All-American lineman with a long career in the NFL as a player and coach.

5th Round

CB. John Reid. player. 806. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Penn State. 141

Reid comes with plenty of starting experience (40 games) for the Nittany Lions and has shown the ability to make plays on the ball with instinctive hands (37 passes defended, 7 interceptions). Unfortunately physical limitations as a smaller corner will limit what he can do against bigger targets. Profiles best as a fourth corner with starting nickel potential.

WR. Isaiah Coulter. 17. Pick Analysis. 10. Scouting Report. Rhode Island. player

Coulter was a second-team All CAA performer last year for Rhode Island with 72 catches, 1,039 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns and comes with some intriguing potential given his nice speed for his size at 6’2″. However Coulter needs a lot of work in all aspects of his game—from technique to film study to route-running. This kid will need time.
