Scouting Report. UCLA. Joshua Kelley. 836. Pick Analysis. RB. 112. player

Kelley had a pair of 1,000-yard seasons for the Bruins in 2018 and ’19. After losing Melvin Gordon in free agency to the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles needed more depth. Kelley should pair nicely with Ekeler and compete with Justin Jackson for reserve carries.

5th Round

WR. Virginia. 888. Scouting Report. Joe Reed. 151. player. Pick Analysis

Reed projects as a special teams ace in the return game. He was a First-Team All-ACC member as a specialist in 2019, averaging more than 30 yards per kickoff return. His upside as a receiver is limited, only notching 1,465 receiving yards over four years.

6th Round

S. 186. player. 819. Scouting Report. Notre Dame. Alohi Gilman. Pick Analysis

The Chargers only took two defensive players in this draft, nabbing Gilman here in the sixth round. The former Fighting Irish star ran a 4.6 40-time at the Scouting Combine, adding good traits to slid film. In two years with Notre Dame — after transferring in from Navy — he totaled 169 tackles. He’s comfortable down in the box, allowing Derwin James the freedom to roam.

7th Round

WR. Tennessee. player. 839. Scouting Report. Jauan Jennings. 220. Pick Analysis

Jennings biggest problems have been off the field. At Tennessee, Jennings was kicked out of the program in 2017 for railing against the coaching staff on social media before getting a second chance. He was also arrested for drug possession. Last season, he was suspended for the first half of Tennessee’s bowl game after stepping on the face of his Vanderbilt opponent.
