Jacksonville Jaguars NFL Draft grades: C.J. Henderson leads strong class
By Matt Conner
Best pick
For a team that lost Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, the Jaguars needed an elite anchor for the secondary and landed just that with a true shutdown cornerback in C.J. Henderson. The Jags should take a proper amount of heat for letting so much talent leave so easily, but they didn’t get cute in the draft. They grabbed who they should at all the right times and Henderson set the tone.
Worst pick
It’s hard to complain too much about a pick at No. 140, but a team like the Jaguars who are destined for the basement in such a tough division for now should be taking one upside play after another. The ceiling is so close to the floor for Quarterman as a part-time linebacker that it felt too early—even in the fourth. The team could have added a number of impressive interior line prospects, just for example, at this same spot.
