Dallas Cowboys 2020 NFL schedule: 5 must-win games
1. Home: Philadelphia Eagles
The rivalry with the Giants has been all Cowboys recently. However, the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry has been much more competitive.
Jason Garrett effectively ended his time in Dallas when he blew the divisional lead. His exit was capped with a 17-9 loss to the Eagles in a game that decided the NFC East winner in Week 16 last season.
These teams have been trading the division crown each year. Dallas won in 2016 and 2018. Philadelphia has claimed the division 2017 and 2019. Interestingly, the Cowboys have won four out of the last five regular-season games against the Eagles.
McCarthy knows his main competition within the division resides in Philadelphia. The Giants and Redskins are still a ways a way, and the Eagles are ready to win.
We don’t know the date of this game, but you can bet that it will feel like playoff football when the Eagles jog onto the field in Dallas.
In a division that is so often played tightly, every single game against a divisional opponent carries a lot of weight.
As mentioned before, the road schedule will be harder than the home schedule in 2020 for the Cowboys. They have to defend home field, especially against the Eagles. What fan wants to see Carson Wentz leave Dallas with a win?
Prescott and the Cowboys must prove they are the class of the NFC East and beat division rivals at home.
