36. . . . Seattle Seahawks. 8. team

2020 Key Additions: Head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider addressed the offensive line numerous times this offseason, adding guards G B.J. Finney and Chance Warmack and tackles Brandon Snell and Cedric Ogbuehi (from Jaguars). And the team got an early jump on free agency when they grabbed tight end Greg Olsen after he was cut loose by the Panthers. Former first-round pick Bruce Irvin is also back with the franchise while the ‘Hawks bolstered their secondary by trading for cornerback Quinton Dunbar (Redskins). And Texas Tech’s Jordyn Brooks was the team’s first-round pick.

Offseason Review: Talented defender Jadeveon Clowney remains on the open market as of this writing and it remains to be seen if the Seahawks will bring him back. His salary demands have made it tough for him to find a new home but this is a Seattle team that allowed almost as many points (398) as it scored this past season. Carroll’s club was carried by quarterback Russell Wilson (who still hasn’t missed a game since he joined the club in 2012) and the offense in 2019, a big departure from the “Legion of Doom” days. This year, the organization addressed nearly every aspect of the roster via free agency or the draft.

. . . Tennessee Titans. 7. team. 35

2020 Key Additions: Defensive end Vic Beasley and defensive tackle Jack Crawford hope to aid a unit that ranked just 21st in the league in total defense and 24th vs. the pass. Meanwhile, first-round draft choice Isaiah Wilson (Georgia) figures to take over for former All-Pro Jack Conklin – who signed with the Browns – at right tackle. But veteran Ty Sambrailo could also be in the mix for the job as well. Perhaps the most interesting move this offseason was the Titans’ decision not to replace veteran defensive coordinator Dean Pees as head coach Mike Vrabel and others on his staff will have a hand in that unit’s decisions.

Offseason Review: It’s been a year of change for a club they came within one victory of Super Bowl LIV. Along with the aforementioned Conklin leaving for Cleveland, released were tight end Delanie Walker, defensive end Cameron Wake, running back Dion Lewis and kicker Ryan Succop. Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey was traded to Denver and quarterback Marcus Mariota joined the Raiders. Cornerback Logan Ryan, who led the team in tackles in ’19, remains a free agent. The club gave big money to rejuvenated quarterback Ryan Tannehill while workhorse running back Derrick Henry signed his franchise tender.
