4. Tom Brady will throw for 500 less yard than Jameis Winston did in 2019

Winston had a schizophrenic season at quarterback for the Buccaneers last year. Everyone knows he led the NFL in interceptions with 30, but a lot of fans forget that he also threw for 5,109 yards in the process.

Brady will obviously cut way down on the turnovers. He’ll do that, in part, by taking less risks down the field with the football. He won’t be a conservative signal caller, but he’ll be much more willing to take a check down than Winston ever was.

The result will be a slight, but significant drop-off, in terms of passing yards. Brady’s final total for the season should settle in right around 4,500. That still represents a prolific season, but he’s not going to match Winston’s yards from 2019.

It’s even possible that Arians will carp a little bit in the media about Brady’s hesitancy to chuck the ball down the field and give his big play wide receivers the chance to win 50/50 battles. It won’t be a big issue, but don’t be surprised if Brady’s conservatism causes Arians a little consternation at times.
