3. Ronald Jones will rush for over 1,000 yards

Everyone expects the Buccaneers passing offense to cause opposing defenses nightmares in 2020. That should open up even more room for the team’s running backs.

Ronald Jones isn’t anything more than an adequate NFL starter, but he’s in line to get the majority of the team’s carries. He ran the ball 172 times a season ago, but he should finish north of 225 carries in 2020.

If he can post a yards per attempt average somewhere around 4.5 that will put him in position to break 1,000 yards rushing on the campaign. That will be solid production from a young running back that’s still working to solidify his place in the league.

Payton Barber will still get his share of touches for the offense, but Jones is going to be the guy who gives the unit more of a big play threat. If he can earn Brady’s trust he’s in line for a career season at a very young age.
