2021 NFL mock draft: Jacksonville Jaguars land Trevor Lawrence

The Indianapolis Colts brought in veteran quarterback Philip Rivers to be their guy under center next season, but he does not have a ton of football left in him. With their first round pick in 2021, the Colts should look to add a franchise guy for the future, and Iowa State’s Brock Purdy is certain to hear his name called on Day 1.
Purdy is an extremely accurate quarterback and is good at protecting the ball, throwing for 43 touchdowns against only 16 interceptions in his career at Iowa State. Rivers is a short term answer, and Jacob Eason fell to the fourth round for a reason, so expect the Colts to take a long look at the big-name quarterbacks next April.
The Tampa Buccaneers got protection for Tom Brady in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, bringing in the very talented Tristan Wirfs from Iowa. In the second round, the Bucs bolstered their secondary by adding one of the better pure safeties in the draft class in Antoine Winfield Jr., whose father was a solid player in the NFL for years.
In 2021, they should look to continue to add to the defensive backfield, this time adding a quality cornerback in Israel Mukuwamu from South Carolina. As a sophomore last season, Mukuamu hauled in four interceptions in 12 games against some very stiff competition in the SEC. The Bucs got better this offseason and could be a final team standing in the NFC in 2020.
