Patrick Surtain II. 9. player. 45. . Cornerback. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos were one of the big winners of the 2020 NFL Draft, as they added a bunch of weapons for new quarterback Drew Lock. As the team’s starter late last season, Lock proved he could win games at the NFL level, and it appears that John Elway has finally found his franchise quarterback.

Looking at this Broncos roster, they are pretty solid on both sides of the ball, and despite trading for A.J. Bouye this offseason, they still need help at cornerback. With the No. 9 overall selection, they should add the best corner in this draft class, bringing in Patrick Surtain II from Alabama to be their long-term CB1.

. Cornerback. Arizona Cardinals. Shaun Wade. 10. player. 32

The Arizona Cardinals had a gem of a player fall to them at pick No. 8 overall this past Thursday, landing Clemson star hybrid defensive player, Isaiah Simmons. This is a guy who will have a Derwin James-like impact on this Cardinals defense this season, and next April, they would be wise to continue to add to that side of the ball.

Shaun Wade from Ohio State is one of the better cornerbacks in this draft class, and like many Buckeyes corners who came before him, he will land in the first round in 2021. Ohio State produced two first round corners in 2020, as Jeffrey Okudah and Damon Arnette were picked in the top-20, and in Wade, the Cardinals get the next in a long line of dominant corners from the school.
