5 reasons why Tua Tagovailoa is a perfect fit for the Miami Dolphins

2. The supporting cast around Tua is growing
A year ago, Miami was playing XFL-level football, finishing with a 5-11 record. Now, they can put that behind them because of their future shining brighter than ever before. They’re making up ground to compete for a now wide-open AFC East division.
After Tua was selected, the Dolphins did a lot to draft around their potential franchise quarterback. Miami used their next two first-round picks to select Austin Jackson and Noah Igbinoghene. Jackson, a promising tackle, is what Miami needs to shore up protection upfront. By drafting Igbinoghene, the Dolphins now have one of the best cornerback trios in the league. Miami signed both Byron Jones and Xavien Howard this offseason.
Miami’s running back position got an improvement too. The Dolphins signed Jordan Howard and traded a fifth-round draft pick for running back Matt Breida. Breida’s speed and Howard’s size will make for a good duo in the backfield. The Dolphins will have to keep an eye at wide receiver, tight end, and the pass rush.
The Dolphins have worked hard all offseason long. There’s plenty of room for growth, and Miami might have a shot to get more than five wins this coming season.
