4. His brings a decorated resume to Miami

Even at a young age, coaches were impressed with his personality and work habits. The former five-star recruit has one of the most incredible college careers. He brings a promising resume to South Beach.

Tagovailoa went 22-2 as a starter for the Crimson Tide. Additionally, the southpaw finished with 7,422 passing yards, 82 TDs, 11 interceptions, leading Alabama to 2018 National Championship Game. Tua played in three offensive systems under three different coordinators.

In his final year, Tua’s offensive coordinator was  Steve Sarkisian. Sarkisian, who spent two seasons as the Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator, ushered his NFL-based schemes to the college level.

Leading up to the draft, Tagovailoa worked his pre-draft process with former quarterback Trent Dilfer. The pair’s relationship goes back to Tagovailoa’s high school days. But, the training was held in private at Lipscomb Academy, a football facility in Nashville. The training sessions included film study and five hours a day spent in the weight room and football drills.

After getting some seasoning from different offensive coordinators and a private session with a Super Bowl champion, Tua should be ready for whatever challenge is next for him.
