4. Home: Philadelphia Eagles

As a division champion, the Packers get to deal with the other three NFC division winners as part of their 2020 schedule. Green Bay went 0-2 in the regular season against those teams, with one of the losses coming at home to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The two teams met in Week 4 on Thursday Night Football with the Eagles leaving Lambeau Field with a seven-point win. The key to victory for Philadelphia was a strong ground game that gashed the Packers for 176 yards and a pair of Jordan Howard touchdowns.

The loss didn’t kill Green Bay since Philadelphia only went 9-7 on the season, but it could have played a major impact in a tiebreaker scenario. The Eagles would have held the head-to-head advantage on the Packers if the two teams finished the same record, meaning they would get a higher playoff seed as a result.

The change in playoff structure makes seeding even more important since only one team will end up with a first-round bye now. Racking up wins to give yourself a tiebreaker edge is a huge deal in the NFL at this point so Green Bay needs to find a way to score victories over teams like the Eagles.

There is also a small revenge factor here since the Packers will want to even the score for last year’s loss to the Eagles. This game is very important for both teams and qualifies as a must-win for the Packers.
