2. Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

After a fantastic freshman season in 2018 (114 receptions for 1,258 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns; 213 rushing yards and two touchdowns; 662 kickoff return yards), Moore was a dark horse Heisman Trophy candidate entering last season. But it was not to be, as a left hamstring injury limited him to four games. In those four games, he had 29 catches for 387 yards and two touchdowns.

During the practices Purdue was able to have this spring, before the coronavirus situation shut things down, Moore was deemed to be fully healthy and game-ready. That’s a dangerous proposition for Big Ten defenses, and Moore could line himself up for an easy decision to leave early for the NFL Draft with another big season.

The Packers won’t be able to continue ignoring the need for a wide receiver when the 2021 draft arrives. CBS Sports’ early mock draft has them taking Moore at pick No. 17, and some other mocks have Moore to the Packers under the assumption he does leave early. The fit is pretty clear.
