1. The Bills will win 10 games

Was regression expected from the Bills this year? Maybe a bit, but with Tom Brady leaving the division, it’s theirs for the taking. Though it’s not going to be pretty, Buffalo is in terrific shape to win its first division title since the mid-1990s. Here is what they have to do to host a home playoff game in Western New York this January.

Buffalo will need to go 4-2 in AFC East play, with home wins vs. all three of their rivals, plus a season sweep of the New York Jets. Against the AFC West, the Bills need to go 2-2 with wins vs. the Los Angeles Chargers and at the Las Vegas Raiders. They can afford a home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but probably aren’t beating the Denver Broncos at altitude across the country.

In their four games against the NFC West, this is where Buffalo can help get to double-digit wins. While they are not beating the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium, the Bills can knock off the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks at home, as well as the Arizona Cardinals on the road. Going 3-1 vs. the NFC West feels likely of the Bills can beat Seattle at home this fall.

As for the competitive balance part of their schedule, the Bills should be able to hold serve by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers when they come to Orchard Park, but may have a tough time putting away the Tennessee Titans along the Banks of the Cumberland River. If all goes according to plan, the Bills should be good enough to win double-digits games and maybe the division.
