4. Away vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Perhaps it would be easier to just cut to the chase and make a prediction when it comes to these two teams meeting for the third time in two seasons.

Seattle Seahawks 17, Philadelphia Eagles 9.

All kidding aside, it is worth noting that a year ago Pete Carroll’s resourceful club marched into the City of Brotherly Love during both the regular season (Week 12) and in the NFC Wild Card Playoffs and in each instance, the ‘Hawks came away with victories by that exact score both times.

Of course, it’s also worth noting that in the postseason encounter, Seahawks’ defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (who remains an unsigned free agent) struck the head of Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz and the latter was knocked from the game with a concussion. Enter veteran Josh McCown, who was sacked six times and fumbled twice in the eight-point loss.

During the regular season encounter, Wentz was not only sacked three times but he was picked off twice and lost a pair of fumbles. All told, the Eagles committed five turnovers in that frustrating setback.

Dating back to 2011 and including last year’s two-game sweep in the land of cheese steaks, the Seahawks have taken six straight in this series.
